Our Work

Apple Distinguished School

Recognized by Apple as a center of leadership and educational excellence in learning with technology.

Announcement

One of only six in the Philippines. The first in Central Luzon.

September 16, 2026 — Brightwoods School is pleased to announce it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School (ADS), for inspiring, imagining, and impacting teaching and learning through continuous innovation.

Joining a select global network of more than 1,200 ADS across 43 countries, Brightwoods is one of only six schools in the entire Philippines — and the very first in Central Luzon — to receive this global distinction.

More than a recognition, we take this as our commitment to kaizen. As we chart our strategic roadmap for the coming years, we invite all our stakeholders — students, teachers, support staff, parents, and community partners — to actively co-create and continuously build the Brightwoods we will all be proud of.

Technology with a kind heart

Brightwoods School is an Apple Distinguished School. Apple gives the designation, by invitation, to schools it recognizes as centers of leadership and educational excellence that demonstrate its vision for learning with technology.

For us, technology has never been the point. Our vision for innovation is rooted in kindness: Brightons learn, imagine and grow with technology that stays human, and use it to do big things with kind hearts.

Our story, in our own words

Students, teachers and school leaders share how iPad and Mac shape learning at Brightwoods.

Learning that students lead

Every Brighton learns with iPad. Students plan in Pages and Freeform, work with data in Numbers, build presentations in Keynote and storyboard their films in iMovie.

Their iPads double as digital portfolios. In student-led conferences, learners curate evidence of their own growth, challenges and success, and walk their parents through it.

With our iPads we can learn anything, and create everything we imagine!

Teachers as designers of learning

Every member of our faculty is an Apple Teacher. Our coaching program and capacity-building sessions ground teaching in the TPACK framework, so technology, pedagogy and content knowledge work together.

Technology and pedagogy coaches work beside our teachers as intentional designers of learning, and our educators serve as Apple Learning Academy Ambassadors.

Leadership grounded in quality

Our leadership is grounded in Total Quality Management. Research on student engagement, feedback from the student body and a whole-school approach keep us improving year on year.

We share what we learn beyond our walls, at conferences and in the Apple Education Community, lighting the way for education and education reform.
